HAND IN

Ejemplos:

  • Hand in your tests, please.
    (Entreguen sus pruebas, por favor)
  • It’s time to hand in the exam.
(Es hora de entregar sus exámenes.)
  • Could you hand these papers in for me?
(¿Podrías entregar estos documentos de mi parte?)

HAND OUT

  • hand out = distribuir, repartir, entregar

Ejemplos:

  • You need to hand out at least 100 flyers per day.
(Debes repartir al menos 100 panfletos por día.)
  • Hand out a snack to each child.
(Reparte un refrigerio a cada niño).
  • We’ll be here all day handing out prizes.
(Estaremos aquí todo el día entregando premios.)

HAND OVER

Ejemplos:

  • That’s not your bag, Susan. Hand it over!
(No es tu bolso, Susan. ¡Entrégamelo!)
  • The thief had no choice by to hand over his loot.
  • Hand over my money or I’m calling the cops.

I was late handing in my assignment.  = I was late handing my assignment in. Me atrasé al entregar mi tarea.
They handed out the flyers. =  They handed the flyers out. Ellos distribuyeron los panfletos.
Hand over the evidence! = Hand the evidence over!

I was late handing in my assignment.  = I was late handing my assignment in.  = I was late handing IT in.
They handed out the flyers. =  They handed the flyers out.  = They handed THEM in.
Hand over the evidence! = Hand the evidence over!  = Hand IT over.

Con esto finalizamos la clase de hoy. Nos vemos pronto con más lecciones!
